About Us

KCMB-TV (Korean Community Media Broadcasting) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing community media and information broadcasting.
Founded on March 1, 2021, by a group of local Korean American journalists, activists, and community leaders, KCMB-TV was formed to address critical gaps in information equity. KCMB-TV seeks to protect the community with online information and media presence by uplifting the voices and stories by and from the community.
Our Values
Information is for everyone
We believe that information is something that should be shared by all. When information is withheld, it is often at the detriment and cost of vulnerable communities. By sharing each other's stories, talking about the things that impact us, and keeping one another informed about important issues, we can work together for our common good and welfare.

Language Access and Cultural Awareness
Although translation services have improved over the past few years, media outlets and information hubs for our local community remain lacking in accessibility in both language access and cultural awareness. We seek to address these issues by providing relevant information with reporting and coverage of important issues and topics affecting our community through our programing.
Cross-Generational and Cross-Cultural Understanding
We are based in one of the most diverse places in this country: Queens, New York. Even within our own community, the culture is different between generations. Our programming is made with the intent in bringing diverse groups of people together. With the understanding of the diversity of our neighbors as well as within our own niche communities, we seek to cover multitudes of topics and communities to bring us all together, uplifting and celebrating one another.
